Meagan Johnson
Founder + Executive Director
After learning about the public health issues of diaper need and period poverty in early 2020, Meagan also discovered that unlike most major cities in the U.S., Milwaukee did not have a diaper bank. Meagan knew this vital resource needed to exist for our community, so she set out on a journey to launch Milwaukee Diaper Mission - the city’s first and only basic needs bank.
Meagan has grown the organization to include a staff of three full time employees, an annual budget of $1.3 million, and has ensured the distribution of over four million products to Milwaukee families in under five years.
In 2023, Meagan was honored with a Milwaukee Magazine Betty Award. In 2024 she was a recipient of Milwaukee Business Journal’s Forty Under Forty Award. In 2025, Meagan was named a USA Today Woman of the Year.
In her spare time Meagan enjoys cooking, gardening, and live music. She lives in Oak Creek with her husband and two young sons.
