Local. Grassroots. Community Driven.

Milwaukee Diaper Mission was created with the vision of making Milwaukee a better place to live. After learning about the public health issues of diaper need and period poverty, and how they affect thousands of people in Milwaukee, Meagan Johnson also discovered that our city did not have a basic needs bank. As a stay-at-home mom with two little boys in diapers, learning that 1 in 2 families are struggling to afford diapers was heartbreaking. Meagan knew this vital resource needed to exist for our community. Led by an incredible Board of Directors, MDM launched on September 21st, 2020.

Milwaukee Diaper Mission is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We partner with local social service agencies to distribute disposable and reusable diapering and period supplies to the families they serve. With the crucial support of our partners, sponsors, and volunteers we are able to distribute these items at no cost to agencies or families.

In spite of her flaws, we love Milwaukee - and we want everyone who lives here to have that same feeling. We look forward to remaining a reliable and impactful organization, serving Milwaukee’s diverse and beautiful families for years to come.
